At the West Vancouver Tennis Club our Tennis Programs strive to create a tennis pathway that provides players with systematic opportunites to achieve their level of competence consistent with their abilities and aspirations. Our coaches will create an enjoyable learning experience for all members at all levels from beginners to nationally ranked players.
6 - 8 Years
This introductory course uses a short court ball and children's raquets (all supplied). Designed as an introduction to ball
control and movement skills to help build confidence in a fun and exciting way
8 - 12 Years
An introduction to fundamental skills, ground strokes, volleys, and serves using 3/4 court and low compression balls. All
technical/tactical skills focus on developing a base of consistency for future development.
7 – 12 years
This program focuses on preparing for entry level competitive play. Players will play on a ¾ court with low compression balls with corresponding tactics and techniques.
10 - 17 Years
This level develops the tactical, technical, physical and mental skill sneeded for successful match play at a beginning competitive level.
12 - 17 Years
This is an advanced level class developing tactical and technical skills needed for competing at the Junior A level and for school team play. Prerequisite participation in BC sanctioned tournaments or leagues.
Geared towards players preparing for competitive play in Tennis BC sanctioned tournaments. The focus will be on developing successful tactical & technical skills to be successful.
Geared towards preparing players with the tactical and technical skills necessary for successful competition at a high provincial and national level.
