he West Vancouver Tennis Club (WVTC) is a not for profit club that operates on leased land from the Municipality of West Vancouver. The club was established in 1925 at which time it was a 3 clay court facility with under 50 members. The club has since grown to a 5 court facility which is covered 6 months of the year with over 450 adult members and 150 junior members.
The club now operates under the direction of 9 Board members, one full time manager, several part time desk clerks and 3 full time tennis professionals.
There are many organized events and programs at the club for both adults and juniors. Our junior programs run year round and are open to both members and non members from the ages of 5 - 18. Programs and events that are available to adult members include: Inter-league play (with 7 women’s teams and 2 men’s teams), mixed house league, men’s and women’s nights, as well as weekend social drop in play. Our 3 full time coaches also offer private and group lessons to both adult and junior members.
Under the direction of the Social Director and volunteers, the club endeavors to host social events on a monthly basis. These include such things as racquet demo nights, round robin tournaments and demonstration events.
